I am so proud to present our first co-creation with Mathilde Lacombe, co-founder of the Aime Skincare brand.

Today, Mathilde is one of the leading figures in wellness, with a holistic approach to beauty that nourishes both the inside and the outside. Known for her authenticity, kindness, and refined style, she inspires with her gentleness, high standards, and constant quest for balance.

For this collaboration, Mathilde has chosen to reinterpret the Lenny and Lou ensemble, drawing inspiration from the safari spirit of the Yves Saint Laurent years. A set in 100% cotton poplin in safari beige. A slightly thicker canvas choice than we usually use for its structure and fit. We are proud to present this contemporary uniform, both structured and refined, designed to accompany you in style every day. A strong, timeless silhouette, just like her.

To mark the launch of our co-creation, we spoke with Mathilde, who shared her impressions of the creative process and her vision of beauty.

How did this collaboration with SESSEI come about?

In a very natural way, with the shared desire to create something that reflects us: a simple, elegant, and easy-to-wear summer wardrobe. I would simply say that this project was born from a conversation between female entrepreneurs, passionate about the beauty of everyday life!

What did you like about the brand's universe?

I was immediately drawn to SESSEI's minimalist and precise aesthetic. There's a refined simplicity to each piece, an attention to detail that speaks to my creative eye. And above all, I love embodied brands that tell a sincere story. I think Meryl does magnificent work and has created a unique universe.

As a brand creator, what place do you give to eco-responsibility in your way of consuming today?

I think it's become essential in our choices, both personal and professional. Creating less but better, buying less but better, making pieces last, favoring responsible materials... it's part of our daily lives. Aesthetics only makes sense if it's part of the most sustainable approach possible.

Why did you choose the Lenny & Lou ensemble as the starting point for your creation?

Because it's exactly what I love to wear in the summer: a fluid, comfortable silhouette that you can throw on without thinking and that remains chic in any circumstance. It's the kind of outfit that lives up to expectations, by the sea or in the city.

After several weeks of waiting, how did you feel when you finally discovered the pieces we had imagined?

A huge thrill! Just like when I receive my lab samples for AIME. Seeing an idea come to life, touching the materials, trying on the pieces… It's always a powerful moment. And above all, I felt like we had succeeded in creating something that was true to our original intention and that reflected us!

What woman do you imagine wearing this silhouette?

A woman who loves to feel good in her clothes without ever sacrificing elegance. It's a silhouette designed to accompany sunny days, effortlessly yet stylishly.

What are the 3 essential AIMEs that never leave you and why?

- Collagen Glow , hydrolyzed marine collagen for daily radiance and skin support. Great for joints too. I add it to my tea every morning!

Can you share with us a wellness ritual that accompanies you on a daily basis?

My morning routine: exercise, take my supplements, eat a nutritious breakfast, and apply a quick but effective skincare and makeup routine. And walk. I avoid the subway and taxis and walk as much as possible. The simplest rituals are often the most powerful.

You describe yourself as a woman in search of balance. What does this mean for you on a daily basis?

It's a real challenge, in fact—a constant tension between the different facets of my life: wife, mother, business owner. I even made it the title of my 2017 book, A Question of Balance. It requires constant balancing, a lot of self-listening, and the acceptance that everything will never be perfectly aligned. For me, balance is above all a movement, not a fixed destination.
